Deleting old and/or large attachments can be very useful when disk space is becoming scarce. |

Tips: |
|
  Prior to deleting attachments, check the following Stats at the top of the Task Frame: |
|
 Total disk space used by attachments (example: 438 Kilobytes in 6 files). |
|
 Disk Space Limit for Attachments (example 100 Megabytes). |
|
  You may then decide whether to delete selected attachments, |
|
 further restrict the size of attachments, or enlarge the Total sisk space allocated to attachments. |
|

Deleting Attachments |
|
The list* of selected messages is displayed in the Editing Frame. |
|
* If you selected a single message, its information is displayed in the Editing Frame. |
|
 The message list is displayed in a table, sorted chronologically by posting date (from oldest to newest). |
|
 The following information is displayed for each message: |
|
Date of Posting, Topic, Title, message author's UserID, Attachment File Nameand the Attachment File Size. |
|

1. Check all the appropriate checkboxes next to each attachment you wish to delete: |
|
Note: Use [Select All], [Deselect All] or [Select Inverse] as a shortcut to selecting multiple messages for deleting. |
|
 |

Tips for Moderators |
|
 Check with your Forum Administrators to know the exact scope of your capabilities. |
|
You may be limited to deleting only your own attachments or attachments posted to your group. |
|
If that is the case, there will be NO checkboxes next to some or all the messages displayed. |
|
2. Click to submit your edits. |
|
Warning: This is an immediate and non-reversible operation. |
|
 Use caution before deleting attachments to avoid deleting the wrong ones. |
|
 To prevent mistakes, click on the Message Title link to preview the message in its thread context. |
